I am a Manchester based designer who offers a friendly bespoke design service allowing you to see your idea grow from a sketch, through to a finished garment that will fit you perfectly. Since graduating with a BA (hons) in Fashion Design with Product Development, I have worked as a pattern cutter and designer for a variety of womenswear and childrenswear companies, who supply some very well known high street brands. This has given me a deeper understanding of how garments are constructed and has further nurtured my ability to cut clothes to flatter different figures in a variety of different fabrics. I also work freelance for a bridal boutique called ‘The White Closet’ as their seamstress, altering gowns and making co-ordinating bridesmaids dresses and accessories, such as lace shrugs and fully lined jackets, cravats and waistcoats. As a creative pattern cutter and as a woman myself, I know that we all have our best bits which we want to flaunt and our less favourite bits we want to flatter.

I will measure you from head to toe and create the pattern myself to help you feel special. I enjoy creating different shapes and silhouettes around the female form and always consider what sort of underwear will be worn. I can design integrated underwear and hidden corsetry within my dresses if the wearer so desires. I have been deeply inspired by my dear Nanna, who made dresses for Harrods and begged her to take me to the haberdashery store when she visited so we could flick through the heavy pattern books and choose something to cut out and make together!  Although I will never use a commercial pattern now, the feeling of unfolding the delicate folded tissue paper patterns from the beautifully illustrated envelope and cutting along the appropriate size line has never left me! All my pieces are made in the UK... and of course, 'made with love'! X
